Yes America, you voted, and it was a surprise. The majority of ”experts” and pundits said Adam Lambert was a lock to win this years title of American Idol. With the perfect tones and the wide range of vocals he couldn’t be beaten. Well, they were wrong. With more than 100,000,000 votes cast Kris got the win.

It was a star studded night again for the season finale of ”American Idol”. With bands like Queen and Carrie Underwood gracing the stage, it couldn’t have gotten much bigger.

With one more season under their belt it will be interesting to see what they do next year to try and top this one.

Timbaland (Timothy Mosley) turns 35 today. Although his personal hip-hop career has had ups and downs he is responsible for some of the most sucessful artists to date. He has worked and continues to work with the likes of Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Brandy and Lil Kim.

Oliva Wilde turns a shockingly young 25 today. She has been in ”The O.C.”, ”Alphadog” and most recently in the hit sitcom ”House”. She is a rising star in the television world and we are looking for big things from this young starlet.

The big winners this year were Coldplay, Lil’ Wayne and Plant & Krauss. Plant & Krauss took home 5 awards including Album of the Year. Lil’ Wayne snagged 4 awards while taking Rap Album of the Year and Coldplay won 3 awards which included Best Rock Album and Song of the Year.The real story of the night were the outstanding performances. U2, Kate Perry, Carrie Underwood, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney and Jay-Z were just some of the performers who rocked the house.

Overall this was one of the biggest and best Grammy Awards to date. I can’t wait to see how they try and top it next year!
