We had a surprising shake-up at the box offices over this last weekend.
The comedy hit ”The Hangover” was finally beaten out and lost it’s #1 position. It was defeated by the romantic comedy ”The Proposal”, starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. ”The Proposal” brought in more than $33 Million while ”The Hangover” came in at over $26 Million for the weekend. This brought the total amount brought in by ”The Hangover” to just under $153 Million in U.S. theaters. Here is how the Top 5 finished up:
1) ”The Proposal” – $33 Million
2) ”The Hangover” – $26 Million
3) ”Up” – $23 Million
4) ”Year One” – $19 Million
5) ”The Taking of Phelam 1, 2, 3” – $12 Million
